"Drive!" and "Side!"
One Long Day!
2:45 a.m. – I woke up with some serious pain in my lower right tummy area!
4:00 a.m. – I woke up again with the same pain and wondered what was up.
6:30 a.m. – Realized that every time I moved, I got a shooting pain in the same area. I wondered if it could be the start to round ligament pain.
8:30 a.m. – Went garage selling and wasn’t very comfortable walking.
10:30 a.m. – I went to Farmer’s Market and Costco with Billie (MIL) and GG (Great Grandma) and was in so much pain had to leave Costco early. I didn’t get everything on my list!
12:30 p.m. – Started to get queasy along with tummy pain. Rested while Alivia took her nap!
1:30 p.m. – Called the dr. (only because Billie, my friend Laura, and Ben told me I had too) and she told me to rest, put a heating pad on my lower right side, and take some Tylenol
3:00 p.m. – Alivia awoke from her nap and I was still in pain.
4:30 p.m. – Ben got home after working 21 days in a row and took over watching Alivia! Sweet guy! He was so tired but he didn’t complain about daddy duty. We debated whether to go to the hospital, but I just decided to go rest.
5:00 p.m. – Ben and Alivia ate dinner and I had no appetite, instead I headed upstairs to go rest in our bed
5:30 p.m to 9:30 p.m. – Slept on and off! Woke up at 9:30 p.m. with shooting pain in the same area. Decided to head to the hospital.
10:00 p.m. – Billie came over to stay with Alivia and we headed to the hospital
10:30 p.m. – Admitted to the Labor & Delivery at Memorial Hospital!
11:00 p.m. – Found out I was dehydrated and having contractions…
11:00 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. – I underwent 2 shots to stop contractions, 3 attempts for an IV (finally they got it), 2 bags of fluids to hydrate me, and blood drawn to make sure I was not going to deliver early. After Labor and Delivery, I went to the ER to rule out appendicitis. We never really figured out what the pain was from, but I think it came down to me being dehydrated.

4:30 a.m. – Left the hospital with no more pain in my lower right tummy area. I am pretty sure the IV’s helped immensely!
4:45 a.m. – Got home and went to sleep, didn’t get any at the hospital. Ben was so, so very tired
6:30 a.m. – Alivia woke up! Long day #2 since we were both so tired.
Moral of the story- Drink lots of water when your pregnant and go to the hospital early because even though it is called the Emergency Room, it still takes forever!! :)
Just the 3 of Us!
Tonight, we all went to Starbucks and Alivia got a special treat (She loves the vanilla milk, and as soon as we walk in she lights up and says "mil, mil (mik, milk)"! :) We gave her bunny snacks from home though because she has been having a hard time digesting cow's milk- we give her rice milk these days. That was completely off note! haha. Anyways, I asked Ben if he thought Alivia will miss just being the 3 of us. He assured me that she will LOVE being a big sister. I think she will too, but I had a little [sadish] moment: there is only going to be 2 1/2 more months of just the 3 of us. I am cherishing these special moments because I know it's going to come by fast that it won't just be the 3 of us anymore. I will love being a family of 4, but I am taking in all these moments before our life changes yet again!
