Graysen’s 1st Day of Pre-k!!

After much back and forth, we decided to put Graysen in a small in home Pre-K group. We wanted him to have some away from the house and away from family time because he is still pretty attached to us and we are putting him in a full day program next year. We thought this would be a nice transition for him. He was reluctant at first but is falling into a rhythm nicely. I like it because like next year, it is only 1 day a week and it's a really small group. He still asks if he can skip most weeks but also asks each day when it will be Thursday. Once he gets there, he really does like it. We are proud of him!

Ellie’s Tea Party!!

This sweet girl and I had some 1 on 1 time and invited a friend over for a REAL tea party. We dressed up, made cookies, popcorn, and herbal tea. The girls were super cute pouring their tea and eating their dessert. Ellie loved her time with just me and her friend and felt so special. She talked about it for days after and still brings it up here and there!!

Alivia’s 11th Birthday Celebrations!!

Alivia celebrated her birthday on her actual birthday, December 31 with family and over a month later with friends. She had a wonderful time for both celebrations. She asked for an escape the room party with family and Ben created a really cool one around our house, including using Alexa as a clue! :) She wanted to go to Summit and have a painting party with her friends. We were able to do both for her and her 3 friends! :)

Here is what Ben came up with:

Escape the place

Welcome to the game, here you find a world full of mystery all in disguise.

The mission is simple to leave this house find the room that has the mouse.

When you find the mouse you will find a key to a car that will allow you to leave.

This won’t be easy, you might feel a fool, your first clue is something you have used for school. (Backpack)

You maybe CURIOUS where your next clue may come, think of an animal that likes to have fun. (Curious George)

For your next clue a little math is in store, find the three numbers that will open this box, the box is located with little boy Socks.

1. 6+6=

2. 7x2=

3. 12-4=

(12-14-08 to open the lock box)

Playing cards with key to find next clue.

Card unscramble: Can I ask you a question? (Answer is Pots and pans)

Congratulations, you found your next clue. Your almost there, what does daddy like to drink in his chair? (Coffee maker)

If you want a snack where would you look? You’ll find what you need in this special spot. (Pantry)

You almost have the key, now find the door, one more clue is near the item we use to clean the floors. (Vacuum)

This is your chance, your final shot, pick the RIGHT door and find the spot where Mouse is waiting behind this door to take you out and finally explore. (Our room)

You have escaped, you’re great now pick a spot and let’s celebrate!
