March Happy Moments!!

March was a whirlwind-- loads of fun but a lot busier than we are used to now as a homeschool family. The kids did well with the extra activities, and this mama was extra tired but felt blessed to have family time! Here are some sweet happy moments from March! :)

Alivia’s Fancy Cake!!

Alivia had a big goal of creating a cake for Shawna and Shane. She decided to make a groom's cake and wanted to use fondant for the decorations. We have never played with around with fondant before so this was a big task. She did such a wonderful job. It was a learning experience and there were tears, but she worked through this hard task with only a little help from mom and dad. She made a homemade vegan chocolate cake with vegan vanilla frosting and created a tuxedo out of fondant. She finds much joy in the kitchen baking treats for others. We are very proud of her caring heart and hard work. She was hard on herself but in the end was proud of herself too!!

Shawna & Shane’s Reception!!

Oh what a fun celebration of the newly married couple, Shawna and Shane. I still remember when I met Shawna for the first time, she was the age of my little ones now. It was wonderful to meet Shane and see Ben's side of the family. We were so happy they decided to travel here and have a reception party and make memories as newly weds! The party was full of good food (thanks catered chipotle) and good people.
