Nolan’s Loves:

- Nolan is interacting more and more! I love to watch him watch things and people. He enjoys watching Alivia!

- He loves being held in the Moby wrap! If he is fussy, I can just put him in the wrap and he calms right down and I can get some things done around the house.

- Nolan loves being held!!

- He loves to sleep with us and doesn’t really like to sleep alone.

- He loves to eat, big boy!

Nolan’s New Things (still not a whole lot right now):

- Nolan is cracking a little smile for us here and there! Cute stuff. He is so expressive!! He loves when we talk to him!

- Nolan stopped taking the pacifier and only sucks on our fingers sometimes.

- I stopped putting mittens (a couple of days ago) on him because he is not scratching his face anymore, past the stage of aimlessly throwing his hands at his face.

Rachle nolan   Bye, Bye gloves… Hello hands nolan in Vest My cutie!!

Thankfulness: day 11!

It's 11-11-11, sweet! And, today I am thankful that I am able to fulfil my childhood dreams. One of being a stay-at-home wife and mom. I always wanted to be a wife and mom and now I am one. It rocks. I'm tired, it can be hard, but it rocks. I am so happy to be a stay at home mom. And, I also always wanted to be a teacher, and in a way I am a teacher to my kiddos!

I am also thankful that I can work from home a bit and make a little money here and there for my family. Working for Thirty-One has allow me to make my family priority (be the stay-at-home wife and mom I want to be) but still bring in a few bucks to help out financially. I have the best of both worlds, or at least I think so!

Thankfulness: day 10!

Is it weird that I am thankful for the TV show Greek tonight. :) I love that show and Ben and I often watch an episode or 2 (without commercials) to unwind. But, my real thankfulness goes to creativeness! I am so happy and thankful for crafts, projects, writing, and baking. I think many people are creative in there own way. One way I like to express my creativeness is in this here blog!! Others include small crafts, scrapbooking, homemade cards, and baking! I am really loving Pinterest these days because of the awesome creative ideas that are on it. I just made my very own yarn wreath to put on our outside door. I love it (a picture to come soon). Anyways, I am just thankful that God gave me a gift of creative(ness) and that I love to use it. Even if I don't come up with ideas that other people don't find creative or the crafts that I scheme up or which are inspired by Pinterest don't turn out like I want them to. I know that I have had a great time working on the projects/crafts. I also really enjoy that I can include Alivia in some of my craft projects and hope to do more with her as she gets older. Tonight, she painted for the very first time. She painted on a canvas that we plan to hang in her room when it dries (a picture to come soon). Alivia loved painting and besides getting all messy (she didn't like that part), it was an enjoyable special project to do with her. Needless to say, she needed a shower afterwards.

Thankfulness: day 9!

I am thankful for family!! We have a great support group and lots of fun with our extended family. I am thankful for hang-out time, family dinners, skype moments, holiday cheer, and much more. We are truly blessed to have such a wonderful extended family. :)

Thankfulness: day 8!

I am still full from tonight's dinner, and I am just praising God for the blessings He has poured upon our family. One being a full tummy! I would say that is a blessing I am thankful for as I know there are many a folk out there that don't have a full tummy even once a day or week, and I have 3 meals a day that are usually satisfying . I am thankful that we can get food on the table for breakfast, lunch, and dinner (as well as snacks). Yes, sometimes it's not the best food or the most desirable at the moment, but it is enough to keep us nourished and well-fed! Ben made a delightful home-made pizza tonight that I might just have dreams about! (kidding, but it was delicious) :)

Potty Training and Rolling Over!

*We started an intense 3 day potty-training program for Alivia today! She had a total of 5 accidents but overall did great. She is in her undies now as I type and she sleeps, so i hope that she can sleep through the night without an accident. Hoping for an even better day tomorrow with fewer accidents and more verbalizing about when she needs to go potty!

*Nolan turned over from his tummy to his back tonight. It was awesome to watch him in action. I tried to get him to do it again, but he was tired of tummy time and just wanted to be held.

Thankfulness: day 7!

Today, I am thankful for family fun!! Tonight, after dinner, we all sat in our play area (Nolan included, in his little bouncer chair) and played silly made-up games, sang children songs, and danced to those fun little songs. Alivia smiled and laughed and it made me smile a wide, wide smile of pure happiness. I love watching her play and sing and dance. I sat back and breathed in joy watching my family enjoy simple moments and hearing the sweet sound of innocent laughter. I cherrish these moments!
