Under Contract!!

I cannot believe it!!  Oh wait- yes I can. This story starts about a year and a half ago. We thought about selling then but when we looked into it, we would either lose money or break even. It just wasn't worth it. Fast forward to about 2 months ago and the real fun began. It was a regular day where the kids and I went to visit my mom. As we were there, I began to think about selling again. I thought we need a place like this that is cheaper and we can save some money. I decided it was worth a chat with Ben. When I got home, I completely forgot to discuss it with Ben. The next morning while Ben was getting ready for work, he came into the kids room where the kids and I were playing and said "Rachel, I think we should look into selling again". Now we had not had this conversation for over a year and within 2 days we both got the same idea to sell. We both felt God was calling us, for some reason or another, to sell the house and move. Ben thought it would be a good idea to be free of anything here so we can move if/when he gets a new job, and I still had the hopes of renting something cheaper and saving some money.
We called up our realtor to discuss and met with him. Although, we used him to buy the house, we felt like he was not the right choice to use as our realtor to sell. One of our neighbors was selling and using a realtor that another person had used to successfully sell a property in this complex. We decided to connect with her and she was the perfect choice. We had a meeting with her and decided to go with her and get the house ready in a month. I used this little timeline (below) to get ready, deep clean, declutter, organize, and stage our house to a level we had never lived in before!
We put our house on the market on a Friday, had an open house and 2 showings on Sunday, and got an offer Monday (from Sunday's open house). Talk about craziness and awesomeness. This confirmed that God did indeed want us to sell. We are so happy and thankful that we listened to Him. We had been praying that he would direct us for our future and show us a clear path- selling it is.

Just a few days ago, we got a call from our fabulous realtor and she asked us if we would be willing to move up our closing day if the buyer took away the contingency on selling his current home first. This surely made things easier for us. We have not signed the new contract stating the new closing date and taking away the contingency but it's more of a for sure thing then before and we are officially looking for a place to rent now. This was a second conformation in our eyes that when you listen to God's calling, no matter how crazy it makes life, God will bless you!
