{Read the World Summer Book Club- Week 4} The Weaving of a Dream: Asia!!

Asia was a neat place to read about! We read some fun books that the kids really enjoyed. We tried our hands at using chopsticks for lunch one afternoon, copied some Chinese writing, and had a tea party.

Some of the fun books we enjoyed!

A neat book about some Chinese wedding traditions!

We learned that Dim Sum is served at coffee/tea houses and they are similar to appetizers here in the United States!

This book was a neat and artistically beautiful book. It was about a builder who found a magic fan that gave him inspiration on what to build. In the end, he loses the fan and realizes that he has the creativity, confidence, and talent in himself to come up with ideas and doesn't need the fan.

This was probably one of my favorite books of the week. It was about the author's grandma who wanted to attend university like the boys in her family, instead of getting married. Most females of her generation were not able to get an education but Ruby found a way to with hard work and courage to ask for an education.

This is about a true story about a loyal dog who met up with his owner every day after he was done with work! There is a statue at a train station where the dog enjoyed his time for many hours of the day waiting for his owner. It was a cute story.

More fun books that we enjoyed!
