2 Week Update!

Alivia is a wonderful baby! We are getting to know her little personality more and more each day! We love and adore her so much. She is getting into her own little schedule. We are currently doing a child-directed schedule, so we are listening to her needs and trying to figure out what she wants. I feel like motherhood is such a natural thing for me though, and Alivia's needs are pretty easy to read for us. We are very lucky to have such a good-natured child. :) She usually only cries when she is hungry, when she needs to burp, and when she is very, very tired. And, luckily I can feed her before she gets super hungry and cranky. She gets super tired at night between 11:00 and 12:00, so after I feed her and calm her down, she goes down for a good portion of the night. She sleeps with us as she feels most comfortable there and sleeps the best. I only have to wake up one to two times during the night, if she is sleeping with us. It's another story if we put her in the bassinet. We hope that she continues to sleep well during the night, and we will probably try to break her of the co-sleeping in a couple of months, but for now we are cherishing every moment! :) I love, love being a mom! Ben is such a good dad too. He really loves her and does a great job helping me, especially since I am still recovering from surgery. We have had a ton of visitors and people bringing over meals! We just want to thank all of our friends and family for the amazing support you have shown us! Getting through the first couple of weeks has been a smooth transition for Ben and me, because of all the help and love we have received! THANKS... Two week shots are in the Shutterfly album under Alivia's Two Week Shots. Enjoy!
